Our Bible study groups provide a place to grow in faith, deepen your understanding of God's Word, and build lasting relationships with others. Several small groups meet throughout the week at Battisford, where we come together to pray, study Scripture, and encourage one another. From time to time, we also offer special courses like Christianity Explored or Alpha for those exploring the basics of the Christian faith.
"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
Psalm 119:105 (NIV)
The Importance of Bible Study
Studying the Bible is essential for every believer's spiritual growth. God's Word is our guide for life, offering wisdom, comfort, and direction. By gathering in small groups to study the Scriptures, we:
-
Gain a deeper understanding of God's character and His will for our lives.
-
Apply biblical principles to our everyday situations.
-
Strengthen our faith and build resilience against the challenges of life.
-
Encourage and support each other in our walk with God.
The Bible is not just a book of knowledge; it is living and active, transforming our hearts and minds (Hebrews 4:12). Through Bible study, we allow God's Word to shape us, grow our relationship with Him, and foster meaningful connections within our church family.
Our adult meetings take place on the weeks following the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month. While the schedule may seem a bit confusing, it's designed allow us to dive deeper into God's word and engage in meaningful discussions based on sermons we've heard the previous Sunday.

Soul Food is our discipleship group for young people aged 11-18. We meet every two weeks to enjoy a meal together and then dive into discussions about theological topics. It’s a space for young believers to ask questions, explore their faith, and grow in their relationship with God. It’s also a lot of fun. For more information, click here.
If you're interested in joining one of these groups or would like to know more, feel free to contact us. We’d love to have you be part of our journey of discovering God’s Word together!
