whatever
tHIS IS?

Whatever This Is? is an irregular social get-together at Battisford Free Church where we gather to build community, have fun, and enjoy each other’s company! The name itself is a bit tongue-in-cheek because there’s no set formula for what we’ll be doing—each gathering is a unique experience!

What to Expect

Worship and Teaching

At "Whatever This Is?", anything goes! Here are some of the activities you might find:

Informal Cafe Church Style Services: A relaxed time of sharing and fellowship, sometimes with worship and reflection.
Board Game Nights: A fun-filled evening where we gather around our favourite games for a bit of friendly competition.
Movie Nights: Sit back, relax, and enjoy a great film together! Whether it’s a family favourite or something new, it’s a perfect way to unwind.
Quiz Nights: Test your knowledge with fun quiz nights! Get into teams and enjoy some friendly rivalry with a mix of light-hearted and challenging questions.
Seasonal Themes: Special events themed around holidays like Easter, Christmas, and more!
Missionary Updates: A great opportunity for missionaries to connect with our congregation. There’s space for interaction and engagement, allowing missionaries to get stuck into activities with us.

No matter what’s on the agenda, you can be sure it will be a time of fellowship, fun, and deepening connections within our church community.

Food and drinks

We usually provide drinks and light snacks, but everyone is encouraged to bring their own food and drink to share if they’d like! It’s a wonderful way to make the evening feel even more personal and welcoming.

wHY COME ALONG?

"Whatever This Is?" is more than just a social event. It’s a chance to:

Strengthen relationships within the church.
Invite new people to experience our community in a relaxed setting.
Have a bit of fun and laughter in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
Engage with visiting missionaries and learn about the work they’re doing.

When is the Next Event?
