Parent and Toddler

The Parent and Toddler Group is held in the hall at the back of the Church every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month (school term-time only). The sessions run from 10.00 – 11.30 am. All pre-school children are welcome to come along.

Parents/grandparents/carers can relax and enjoy a chat with a cup of tea or coffee while the children play. We have a wide selection of toys and equipment including table based activities such as jigsaw puzzles, books and drawing materials. There is also a selection of ride-on toys and push along toys for those that like to be more active. An enclosed area is set up for the babies with soft rugs and baby gyms to lie on, along with plenty of soft toys and rattles etc. The hall is fully carpeted.

During each session, there is an organised craft activity for the children, and they are all invited to sit together at the table to complete their craft. After craft time, refreshments are served to the children, and we celebrate any birthdays. There is then time to play once again until home-time.

We have some special events planned each year, including a themed summer picnic in July. Our Christmas session usually includes a visit from Father Christmas! We also take part in the “Children’s Christmas Celebration” on a Sunday in December, by putting on a very short and simple play. This is always a lovely occasion that the whole family can come along to.
